1935: A year of grand events

Sir Angus Mitchell was District Governor again in 1935 during the centenary of Victoria and the only visit of Paul Harris to Australia.

Victoria celebrated with an international air show while the 2 Australian Districts held the largest held in Australia with a total of 972 Rotarians. The Age reported " There was an imposing array of talent at the Melbourne Town Hall when the Lord Mayor tendered a civic reception to the founder of the Rotary movement, Mr Paul Harris. …It was an assemblage of contrasts, but in one particular all were outstandingly similar - and that was in their great and enthusiastic sincerity"

No matter how much changes, it still remains the same.
