There is no doubt that 1921 was a momentous start for Rotary in Australia and New Zealand. And it took 2 Canadians Rotarians from Halifax and Calgary to get the ball rolling. So what better way of celebrating our centenary than a return visit?
Already, we have had an exchange of history books that tell the tale. Invitations have been issued. So have things been planned? Yes, a re-enactment on the 100th anniversary of the first meeting on 21st April 2021. Yes, a golf tournament with a trophy named in honour of James Davidson and Layton Ralston. And Yes, appreciation for the financial support provided from our Canadian colleagues for our international centenary project, Give Every Child a Future.
History lives on! This story has been 100 years in the making.
